#Deaf Protagonist

The protagonist is deaf or hard-of-hearing. Deafness is a hearing disability. The protagonist may be partially or completely unable to hear, or have uneven hearing. The protagonist may identify as culturally Deaf (such as being part of a Deaf community that uses a local sign language), but may also simply have a disability without participating in a community or using sign language.
