Spoiler-aware reviews

Reviews carry three-tier spoiler tags plus route and ending markers. Masks lift as far as you've read, no further.

Few works in this medium operate at this level of structural confidence. The first eight hours are deliberately misleading · comedy, banter, a phone microwave that exists to be ridiculous · and then the floor drops out.

Hashida's character work is where the writing earns its reputation. Every supporting character has a private logic that doesn't depend on the protagonist seeing it.

Route maps

VNs branch. We draw the tree. Mark routes as cleared and the page becomes a record of your run that you can link other readers to.

Click a route or ending to mark it cleared. The true ending unlocks once you’ve cleared all three main routes.

Reading time, your pace

Catalog says 60-80 hours. After a few logged sessions, length estimates shift to your speed instead of the median reader's.

Edited by people, not by engagement.

The catalog descriptions, translation-status notes, route maps, and content advisories are written by curators who applied to the program. Approval is judgment, not an open door, and we’re honest about that. The recommendation engine weighs curator endorsements alongside your own reading history. It does not weigh what’s getting clicks.

How the site is set up.

  • Chronological feed.

The activity feed sorts newest-first. There is no engagement-rank pass.

  • Sponsorships are on a separate page.

Publisher placements live at /publisher-picks. The schema that powers /home, /discover, and recommendations excludes them by query, not by policy.

  • One-click cancellation.

Cancel from /settings/billing. No exit survey, no retention modal.

  • No AI-generated review submissions accepted.

Reviews are submitted by human accounts. We don't claim every word is verifiable; we don't have or use an LLM-review pipeline.

Questions before you sign up.

Is the catalog accurate?
Catalog data syncs from VNDB nightly. Curators correct synopsis, route maps, translation status, and content advisories at the per-VN level. Errors get fixed. We don’t replace VNDB; we layer on top of it.
What if I read slowly?
Reading-time estimates calibrate to your own pace once you’ve logged a few sessions. The catalog’s 60-hour estimate becomes 90 hours for a slow reader, 40 for a fast one. There is no leaderboard.
Can I bring my data from VNDB?
Yes. Pro covers the bulk-import worker that pulls your entire ulist via API token. Free users do it manually · paste any vndb.org/v17 URL into search and the catalog page imports on click, capped at 20 a day.

If you decide to subscribe later, founding rates are open through May 31, 2027. Subscribe inside the window and the lower rate stays as long as billing is continuous.

Preservation

Once subscriptions go live and the first quarter closes, Yumefumi will direct 2% of gross revenue to preservation grants. Recipients will be nominated by the community and the disbursement will be published as a public ledger. None of this has happened yet. The commitment document is below.
